The Foothills Family Campground Policies:
The Foothills is a family campground and we ask that all campers maintain acceptable standards of behavior. Drive slowly and watch for children in the road. Do not walk through the sites of others. Do not trespass on the property of our neighbors. Watch for posted signs. Always observe quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM and refrain from playing loud music & loud talk in campsites throughout the day.
We will not tolerate drunkenness, the use of profane language or other behavior not in keeping with the family setting. We reserve the right to eject anyone who in our judgement is creating a disturbance, impairing the enjoyment of other guests, profane or inappropriate language, is a nuisance to others, or deliberately breaks the rules of the campground.
THE CAMPER(S) AGREES THAT VIOLATION OF ANY RULE HEREIN BY A CAMPER, THEIR GUESTS OR THEIR VISITOR CONSTITUTES A MATERIAL BREACH OF THE PERMIT AND IN THE DISCRETION OF THE RECREATIONAL CAMPGROUND MAY RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EJECTMENT OF THE CAMPER(S).
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT TIMES: Applicable for short term Camper(s). Check in at the main office and store is between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Check out time is 12:00 noon. Please notify office of any issues or concerns with campsite upon arrival and/or prior to departure. Campsites should be left in the same condition as they were at beginning of Camper(s) stay. Clean up fines will be assessed at $100 per hour for sites left with trash on site or in firepit and or personal belongings left behind and $250 fine if equipment is necessary to clean site.
REGISTRATION: All Camper(s) are always required to register at the front desk and display vehicle tag on the car on-site. Registered campers are responsible for the actions of their children, guests, and pets. Any acts of criminal behavior including but not limited to property damage, disorderly conduct, and/or threatening or assaultive behavior on behalf of the Camper(s), their guests, or visitors, as determined by and in the sole discretion of the owner will result in immediate ejectment of the Camper(s) from the park without refund.
CHILDREN: All children under the age of 13 should be accompanied by an adult whenever away from their assigned site this includes but is not limited to bathhouse, playground, store, pond, field, etc. At the POOL - Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.
VISITORS: All registered Camper(s) are responsible for their visitors. All visitors must register at the office upon arrival with Lic plate, car, and names of all visitors. There is a daily charge of $5.00 per day; $10.00 overnight for visitors who wish to use our facilities. Visitors should not arrive prior to 8:00 AM and must depart by 9:00 PM. Failure to register your guests properly will result in fines of $25 per visitor and may result in ejection from the park.
QUIET HOURS: We observe quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM each day. Quiet hours prohibit loud noise of any type from within or outside the camping unit, as determined by and in the sole discretion of the owner, is prohibited during those hours. Music / movies and overhead lights should be off by 10pm. Quiet hours are strictly enforced.
Please make sure all parties know they should not enter or cut across other camper’s sites.
PETS: Maximum of 3 well behaved pets per registered site are welcome. Please review and execute the full pet policy. Current copies of Rabies certificate / expiration date must be received in order to stay on property. Pets must be leashed at all times. You are responsible to maintain control of your pet(s) and clean up after your pet(s). Service animals are not considered pets. Please notify us if you have a service animal so we may better assist you.
CAMPFIRES: Wood is not permitted to be brought from outside of the State of NH. Our fire permit allows for small campfires in specific locations. Fires must be in existing fire rings only and the flame must be kept no more than two feet high. Bonfires are not permitted. Burning trash or garbage of any kind in the fire rings is strictly prohibited. Moving fire rings is strictly prohibited. You will be assessed a $75 charge if fire rings are moved. Fires are to be extinguished before leaving the area and are not to be left unattended. You may use fallen branches/sticks from the surrounding woods for firewood. DO NOT BURN FALLEN OR LIVE TREES. We comply with state, county and town fire restrictions and guidance.
TREES: Trees are important to the climate and beauty of the campground. Do not cut, carve, or damage live trees, shrubs, or undergrowth in any way. Do not cut branches. Remove all rope and cords from trees before leaving. Cutting, damaging, nailing, or screwing into trees or removing any branches/sticks/or limbs from living trees or brush is strictly prohibited a $75 fine will be assessed for damage to trees. If trees are cut down, – you will be charged the replacement cost of a tree similar in size.
SPEED LIMITS AND PARKING: Speed limit throughout the property is 5 mph. Parking is allowed only in designated areas. Do not park on other campsites. There is no parking permitted on the campground roads in order to allow access for emergency vehicles. If Camper(s) is/are found to be speeding through the park, Recreational Campground will require you to park in overflow parking by the office going forward.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING: We do not allow charging of an electric vehicle on the campsites.
TRASH: We believe in Leave No Trace. Please place all food waste and household debris in the dumpster (not the fire pit or all over the campsite) which is located near the propane fill station as you exit the campground in the dead end. All other types of trash including but not limited to metal/tents/ez ups are to be removed by the Camper(s) upon leaving the site and disposed of off premises.
BATHHOUSE: Please do not flush feminine products, flushable wipes, baby wipes, paper towels, excessive amounts of toilet paper, plastic, or food. These items will clog the pipes and require the bathhouse to be closed for repair. Please advise the main office of any issues or concerns regarding the area so they may be addressed immediately. Dishes should not be washed in the bathhouse sinks. Smoking is prohibited in restrooms.
LAUNDRY FACLITES: Machines are provided for use behind the bathhouse. This is for clothes ONLY! There is NO washing and drying of tents, sleeping bags, shoes, dog beds, quilts, blankets, rugs, coats, skunk sprayed materials etc... Any of the above mentioned items found in the washer/dryer will be disposed of immediately. Do not overload machines. Please empty the lint screen and note your washer/dryer times so others may use the facilities. Soap/dryer sheets are available in the store for purchase.
POOL: Please read and comply with all rules and regulations posted at the swimming pool. Please note that THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY - YOU SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK. Food and glass are not permitted in the pool area. Smoking is not permitted in the pool area. Adult supervision of all children under 14 is required. Swimming alone is not permitted by anyone. Shoes or sandals are to be worn to and from the pool. Swim diapers should be used for young children. It is required that you use the outdoor shower to rinse off prior to entry into the pool. No Pets are allowed in the pool area. Pool railings are for safety purposes. Do not allow children to swing or play on the railings. The Pool is open from 10:00 AM until dusk. The pool is open from Memorial Day – Labor Day.
FISHING POND: We annually stock the fishing pond for the enjoyment of our campers. You are required to comply with the posted rules and regulations at the site and catch and release with a non-barbed hook. Our pond is clean and healthy. Please respect wildlife and do not remove or touch any of the creatures that live there: including clams, frogs, crayfish, turtles, ducks etc. They are all important to the pond’s ecology. There is no swimming, entry or wading in the pond. Dogs may swim in pond but must continue to be leashed.
PADDLE BOAT AND KAYAKS: Provided to our guests as a courtesy for your enjoyment for use at your own risk. Life jackets are required for all participants and are provided in the equipment closet. Under the age of 13 must be supervised.
PLAYGROUND: No throwing rocks at the playground. You are required to comply with the posted rules and regulations. There is no smoking at the playground. Under the age of 13 must be supervised.
RECREATION HALL: Currently Closed:
BICYCLES: Bicycles are allowed at the Foothills Family Campground. In accordance with NH RSA 265:144X Bike Helmets Are Required For Riders Under 16 Years of Age. Bicycles may be ridden on the property from 8 am to dusk. Bicycles must not cross other campsites. Bicycles are ridden at your own risk and under parental supervision to ensure compliance with NH laws.
SHOES: Footwear is required to be worn on all decks, dog park, in the store, and all buildings.
PHOTOS/ VIDEO: Foothills Family Campground will take photos/ videos of events and activities going on at the campground to be used for advertising and social media for both internal and external purposes. By signing this document, you grant permission for use without payment or compensation.
NOT ALLOWED: We do not allow the use of the following in the campground: fireworks of any kind including sparklers, minibikes, motorbikes, side by sides & ATV’s and personal chainsaws, log splitters or other power equipment.
WAIVER:
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT THAT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS!
This Release and Waiver of Liability (the “Release”) executed on this day “Camper” in favor of Foothills Family Campground, Tamworth, NH their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents (collectively referred to hereinafter as “Campground”).
The Camper(s)is vacationing at the Campground and during the vacation, the Camper(s) may avail himself/herself of the various recreational activities/amusements offered by the Campground.
These would include but not be limited to swimming and water activity facilities such as pools, slides, sprinklers, and ponds; inflatable amusements such as bounce houses, slides, and obstacle courses, hiking and bicycle paths/trails, playgrounds, fishing facilities, exercise equipment, basketball /volleyball / badminton courts, horseshoe pits, laser tag, dog runs, skating areas, boating, and bocce courts, and naturally surfaced playing fields. (Collectively referred to hereinafter as “Activities”).
The Camper(s)hereby releases, waives, discharges and covenants not to sue the campground, their owners, directors, employees, agents and volunteers, heretofore referred to as the releasees, and releases them from all liability for any or all loss or damage and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to the person resulting from the above identified activity(s) participation by the Camper(s)whether caused by the negligence of the releasees, or otherwise while the undersigned is in or on the premises of the campground.
The Camper(s) hereby agrees to indemnify the releasees and save and hold harmless the releasees from any loss, liability, damage or cost they incur due to their participation in the activity(s) whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.
The Camper(s) hereby assumes full responsibility for any and all risk of bodily injury from participation in the above referenced activity(s) due to the negligence of the releasees or otherwise while in or on the campground premises.
The Camper(s)understands and acknowledges as with any campsite in its natural setting nuisances exist, including but not limited to, wild animals, insects, and poisonous plants, all of which can cause bodily injury, illness, death, or property damage.
The Camper(s)hereby releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue the campground owners, directors, employees, volunteers or agents, heretofore referred to as the releasees and releases them from any and all liability and any and all loss of damage and any claims or demands therefore on account of injury to the person of the undersigned from the above referenced nuisances whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise while the undersigned is in or on the premises of the campground.
The Camper(s)hereby agrees to indemnify and save and hold harmless the releasees from any loss, liability, damage or cost they may incur from the above referenced nuisances due to the presence of the undersigned in or on the premises of the campground whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.
The Camper(s)hereby assumes all responsibility for and risk of bodily injury from said nuisances whether due to the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.
OTHER: Camper(s)expressly agrees that should any part of this waiver be found invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this Release which shall continue to be enforceable.
